Mr. Steve Berman is a founding partner and "the man with the vision". Over the years, his "vision" has been refined and polished like a sand-smoothed stone from the bottom of the ocean. Steve has been travelling for over 25 years searching for the perfect beach, and the perfect setting for families to gather in harmony with their environment—after first visiting Los Cabos in 1979, his search finally came to an end in 2000.
"What attracted me to this area is beyond words. If I had to describe it, I would say that is was the perfect symbiotic relationship of land, sea and climate. An amazing, ever changing tropical desert and 360 days of sunshine make this area ideal. The Sea of Cortez has been described as the "richest sea in the world" in variety and abundance of life. I have seen some of the most amazing properties in the world here, finding them commemorated the opportunity to finally create my vision 25 years in the making."
During the 1970's he dedicated his ambitions to building a market-interconnectivity within agricultural communities that operated sustainable farming operations on three continents in five countries. After selling his company in the early 80's he decided to pursue his other love: Architecture. Using his resources and knowledge of working abroad he started an Architectural Design firm that built and designed projects in Europe and the Caribbean. Some of these projects included a building remodel in Kreutzberg Berlin, Germany, and three restoration/rehabilitation projects on historical buildings in Cortona, (Tuscany) Italy.
Steve is renowned for the mark he left along the California Coast, where he designed and built over 50 landmark homes ranging from 5000-25,000 square feet. After two years in Santa Fe, Steve created homes now called "the Santa Fe style". These homes all share his common signature of innovation, quality, and a seamless blending with the natural environment. Steve is one of the few architects that do not have an architectural degree, yet have been approved by the AIA (American Institute of Architects) in recognition of outstanding achievement.
Through his multi-faceted career, Steve has owned and operated a renowned architectural firm for over 15 years as well as being successful in real estate development and sales. He also designed and manufactured a silk and cashmere clothing line in China called Lori Lazur. In the past, Steve has sat on the board of three other multi-national companies.
