May

12-16 Rolex International Game Fish Association Offshore champion tournament. Formerly held in Hawaii, includes winners of 77 qualifying tournaments. Professional crews catch-and-release striped marlin, tuna, wahoo and other big billfish.
17-21 World Championship Billfish Release Tournament - promotes the use of circle hooks and releasing the fish alive, driving the conservation of billfish.  $1 million prize for catching a previously tagged fish, as well as other large monetary awards.

 

June

22 Dia de Corpus Christi - annual religious holiday with parades and special church services
26-29 Stars & Stripes Fishing and Golf Tournament - this tournament is through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Orange County, held at the Hilton Los Cabos Beach and Golf resort.

July

11-12 Two Cabos Bike Race - Race between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo
16 Fiesta of the Virgin Carmen -Carmen is the protector of the Mexican Nation. Craft vendors, parades, puppeteers, bullfights and fishing tournaments.
25 Festival of St. James parades and festivities - riders mounted on white horses and re-enacted battlefield skirmishes at the town square, followed by street parties

15 Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - celebrates the Virgin Mary's departure from earth to Heaven.  Musical bands, floats and feast style dinners at many restaurants with specials running until the wee-hours.

15-16 Mexican Independence Celebration of Los Cabos - Mexico's most significant holiday. Fireworks, folk dancing and mariachi bands, parades, speeches, picnics and more are held in Cabo San Lucas.

October

12 Todos Santos Fair and Festivals - fair and live music in the plaza for most of the week, live music events in the evenings.
14-18 Annual Los Cabos Billfish Tournament - three days of fishing in various sections for the biggest black and blue striped marlin, yellowfin tuna, wahoo and dorado.  Parties and generous prize purse.  Held at the Playa Grande resort.
17-19 Bisbee's Los Cabos Offshore Tournament - anglers compete for tuna dorado and marlin, large cash prizes.
18 Fiesta de Cabo San Lucas - Dancing in the streets, music and local events mark the day.
21-25 Bisbee's Black and Blue Marlin Tournament - a dramatic shotgun start, angler's compete for largest record marlin for large cash prizes.

November

1-2 Dia de Los Muertos (Days of the Dead) - cemetery vigils, religious events, specialty foods, and children's festivals commemorate passed loved ones.
5-8 Western Outdoor News Tuna Jackpot Tournament
17 Revolution Day - parades and rodeos commemorate the revolution of 1910.
19-22 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 - desert race from Ensenada to Cabo San Lucas, through tough desert terrain. Award ceremony and party held in Cabo San Lucas finish line.

Cabo San Lucas Arts Festival - various folklore music and dance, theater, and poetry in the main square.

December

4-9 The People vs. The Pros at Los Cabos - amateur golfers take on the pros in a prestigious 54 hole finals tournament in two age divisions.
12 Feast of the Virgin Guadalupe - nationwide display of traditional culture, through street fairs, fireworks, processions, masses, and more.
16-24 Christmas Posadas - candlelit processions from house to house for the nine days prior to Christmas

Festival of Rhythm, Color & Flavor - showcasing Cabo's innovative cuisine with chefs at renowned resorts and restaurants from the region.
